“What is your inner joy compass about?”
“Why is it added here?” She asks about a particular post.
These questions were asked of me. And I thought, if one of you doesn’t understand why I add the inner joy compass prompts, it’s probably fair to say that many of you don’t understand
So if you’ve been wondering, here’s the scoop.
Where It All Began
You all know I get some good advice when I’m good and relaxed, and that sometimes in this state I even commune with the cosmos.
Well, in December before last, in my relaxed meditative/prayer space, I receive from a celestial visitor, what I consider, life-changing advice.
If you would like to read the full story, go here.
In a nutshell, here’s the scoop…
Everything is about finding your Inner Joy Compass. All is about that. You must find your Inner Joy Compass.
It’s all about activation and reactivation.
The next thing I witness in my inner eyes is watching him plug and unplug my Christmas tree lights, several times.
Each time he plugs, unplugs, and then plugs again he says, “Activation and reactivation.” He goes on, “Activate and reactivate and reactivate again and again and again.”
He reaches for my hands and with a stern, yet loving tone says, “You must activate and reactivate again and again your Inner Joy Compass. When you commit to your Joy, you will be like your Christmas tree, you will light up, illuminate, and brighten everything. You will show your beauty.”
My Practice
I’m happy to report that I took this message to heart (how could I not?), and in my less-than-perfect human way, I began the practice of following, the best I could, my inner joy compass.
I began by just thinking about it - while writing, cleaning, petting my cats, giving a session, driving, sitting with my husband, exercising, and even showering.
Whatever I did throughout my day, my question went with me, am I following my inner joy compass?
It became like a perpetual mantra that I couldn’t turn off.
I became joy conscience.
Does watching this show bring me joy? Am I enjoying this conversation? Do I really enjoy staying up too late?
While listening to a grumpy man in line in front of me - boy he could use some joy! Immediately following - Okay, so did that thought create joy?
My life took on new meaning. Everything felt lighter and brighter and deeper and richer.
I guess you could say that the dots connected… I got the importance of activating and reactivating, again and again, my inner joy compass… I got the difference it was making… I got JOY!
Hey, if you’re close to me you know that when I get something, I can’t wait to share it with you.
That friend is why I share the Inner Joy Compass Prompt within my posts.
My utmost desire is that by going deeper and getting personal with the prompts you will experience more of your joy.
It so delights me to give you the opportunity to activate your joy!
My eagerness to share joy is why I’m not stopping with my posts. As you know from my last post, I’m now in the process of writing a book about following your inner joy.
I’d love to hear your comments about my book introduction. As I stated previously, I’m giving a group JOY call for those who leave feedback. You can either comment or email - gloriaboysal@gmail.com. Date to be announced. The call will be recorded.
Please if you have any questions or thoughts you’d like to share regarding the inner joy compass prompts, I’d love to hear them.
