As most of us do toward the end of the year, I find myself reflecting on the year I’ve lived and the year I’m stepping into.
Friend, if you read last year’s New Year post you’ll see that every year I love to look at the metaphysical meaning of that year. Here’s that post if you would like to take a peek.
As I reflect, I give consideration to the meaning of the year and how it has played in my life
We are now coming out of a 6 year, which is about service (service to self and to others), kindness, and nurturing.
With that in mind and with loving compassion, I ask myself, how have I been of service? Have I been of service to myself, and to others? Have I demonstrated kindness and nurturing toward myself and others? What can I do to improve?
Each year I discover there is always room to improve or grow.
So dear friend, after answering the above questions, I decided to continue my growth by focusing on giving more GEMS. (See post about GEMS)
Maybe you too would like to ask yourself, How have I been of service to myself and others?
The New Year
The new year will be a "7" year (2+2+3), which is about introspection, quiet, and meditation.
It’s a time to be peaceful and contemplative.
Dearest, as you’re preparing to step into your New Year, I encourage you to start by being meditative and asking yourself this simple yet profound question, “What do I want?”
I can’t think of a better way to start the New Year than by gifting yourself with what you want.
Inner Joy Compass Prompt:
After contemplating what you want, try this:
Sit down with a journal and expand on your answer by writing the answers to the following questions:
Why do I want what I want?
Why else?
What other reasons do I hold in my heart?
Really give yourself some time with this.
“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are.” —J.P. Morgan
May this new phase of meditative contemplation bless you with new awarenesses that expand your soul.
I wish you and yours a love-filled New Year.
With all my love and appreciation,
Gloria
