Do you ever wonder why everything is allowed?
Maybe you’re like me and you get why we have all the good stuff - awe-inspiring, wondrous natural beauty, loving deep connections with others, ourselves, and God, music and art that move the soul, genius creativity, abundance of resources to thrive, and endless opportunities to grow.
But what about…? Wars, political upheaval, natural disasters, abuse, disease, loss of loved ones, injustices, and accidents…
Why is everything allowed?
There is a Reason
That reason is called - Free Will.
Ever find yourself wondering what having free will is about?
My husband and I sure have. Our discussions have ranged from utter silliness that exploded into deep belly laughs to unexpected choked-up tears. My husband even commented once that, “Free Will kills people.” He was referring to those he cared about who made some bad choices that ultimately hurt or killed them.
Yep, free will does indeed kill people but… it also saves them.
How? With the act of intentionally using our holy fire of choice.
Friend, we get to choose!
We get to choose what we’ll do with this divine gift of free will. So, the question remains, what choice will we make when we feel the urge to follow our heart or heed a warning, when faced with adversity, or have an opportunity to be vulnerable or grow beyond our comfort zone? The choice is ours.
Inherent in every decision is our opportunity to create our life - up, down, or sideways.
As Helen Keller says, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."
Daring adventure, anyone?
Ready to adventure and discover what free will has to do with the Eleventh Face of God - On Purpose.
If so, read on.
Eleventh Face of God: On Purpose
Here’s my experience when receiving the Eleventh Face of God.
I announced to God that I was ready for the next Face of God.
At first nothing.
I focused on my breathing and directed my flow of breath to go deep within my heart.
Then I hear - On Purpose.
Vivid powerful images flash before my eyes so clearly that I feel as if I’m in each one - wars both of the past and more present time - newborn babies with their family members endearingly making over them - sick and feeble people young and old, well people full of vigor and strength - religions of every kind from tribal celebratory spiritual dances to those on mats praying and chanting in temples, to Catholic church members giving the gesture of the cross, to a church whose members were speaking in tongues, to churches that read from the bible to churches that spoke of the law of attraction and then the explosion of images stop and I hear:
Construction and destruction - all is allowed. All is allowed for growth.
God is On Purpose for Growth.
Dead silence.
Then I hear the words Free Will and Karma and with those words I’m given an understanding of them and why they exist for humans. The understanding feels like I’m receiving a download into my brain and my heart. I have a sense of being brain and heart full.
My download:
Humans have Free Will to do as they choose for their growth. God does not destroy. Destruction is always from humans’ Free Will, or right to act as they see fit.
Karma, the law of balance, brings all back into its rightful state or balanced state. It is the law of the Universe or God. It is Prevailing Justice.
It is not a punishment. What one gives out to the world comes back to that one. It is the responsibility of each individual to make right or balance, whenever he/she creates an imbalance.
There you have it. It’s all about growth.
Why Growth?
Simply, growth = joy.
Why joy?
Because…
In the experience of living in the fullness of life, JOY is attained.
JOY opens the way for more JOY, which leads to more growth, which creates more expansion and with the expansion comes the desire for more growth.
Thus, the cycle repeats and the natural order of the Universe, which is to expand, is lived.
So, let’s expand on our joy, shall we?
Inner Joy Compass Prompt:
Questions to inspire…
How can I use my free will to…
Strengthen my relationship with ________________________? What is the first action I can take?
What pattern/habit can I let go of (or lessen) that will increase my joy? What baby step can I take now?
How can I create the space to spend more time with a passion/hobby or start a new one?
Am I resisting anything? If I am, then using my free will, what can I do to create safety or get support to move forward?
“Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will.” Jawaharlal Nehru
I’d love to hear how you’re using your free will and expanding on your growth.
Thanks so much for hanging out with me.
I appreciate you, and I appreciate the emails I received regarding my last post, thank you.
With all my love,
