Ever yearn to live from that brilliant place you know is inside of you yet at your best feels about as slippery and elusive as trying to hang onto an eel?
Maybe you’ve experienced momentary feelings of your magnificence, or maybe you’ve been fortunate enough to hang onto the ultimate expression of YOU for a longer duration.
Regardless of how long you’ve embraced the best of you, there’s always room for more: more love, creativity, joy, and wishes coming true.
Dreaming of living as the best version of yourself doesn’t have to feel so close yet so far away.
Dear, there’s so much more of your ever-present potential - your inherent birthright of possibilities awaits.
You can have more!
Archetypes - The Possibilities are Endless
According to Jungian psychology, archetypes are innate potentials expressed in human behavior and experiences.
Innate potential… don’t you love that?
I know I do. I love the idea that inside us lies inborn potential just waiting for us to tap into it.
We’re all familiar with some of the typical archetypes. We’ve watched them throughout the years in our movies and series - the hero, the warrior, the magician, the lover, the sage, the mentor, the outlaw…etc.
Can you imagine the potential of playing with archetypes?
Playing With Archetypes
Have you ever played around with archetypes?
Think about it.
How would you feel bringing forth your magician?
Or your hero?
What about your warrior?
We’re all many-faceted. We each have within us infinite possibilities of expression.
Why not give an archetype a try?
Maybe you want courage. Bring forth your hero.
Or maybe you need strength. What would your warrior self do?
Need to understand someone? Bring forth your nurturer.
Need to spark your creativity? Call up your magician.
“You are far more than your personality, more than your habits, more than your achievements. You are an infinitely complex human being with stories and myths and dreams- and ambitions of cosmic proportions. Don't waste time underestimating yourself. Dream big... Use the energy of your archetype to express the true reason you were born. Life was never meant to be safe. It was meant to be lived right to the end.” Caroline Myss
Our Unique Archetypes
On the day of our Limitless Creative call, I ask for the best way to serve our Infinite Creative Potential joyfully. I hear archetypes. ‘Little did I know where that would take us.’
On our call, I got a clear message that we were to create our unique archetype.
I’d heard about and played a bit with embodying archetypes, but our unique archetype? Hmm… I wonder where that will lead us.
In our group, we focus on our creativity in the broadest terms. We cover everything - from being creative with our spirituality, relationships, body, thoughts, intuition, and emotions - we are limitless creatives.
So, in the spirit of honoring our creativity we were given the gift of creating our unique archetype. An archetype that would lift us into being the truly limitless creative souls we inherently are.
Embodying Our Unique Archetype
To begin this opening up to our archetype, we breathed deeply and filled our brains and bodies with gold light.
With our deep golden breaths, we relaxed. And in our state of allowing we asked for our unique archetype to come forth.
Each of us had a deeply moving experience.
I did this along with everyone and tears streamed down my cheeks. The impact of who I could be, or who I AM underneath my stuff, was and continues to be, a mind and heart-opening experience.
Each day since the call I have played with being my unique archetype.
Each time I meditate on it, or pause what I’m doing during the day and claim my archetype, I immediately feel I have wide-ranging powers of undiluted love, light, and joy, and my creativity soars!
Wow!
So, are you ready to play with archetypes?
Inner Joy Compass Prompts:
Let’s expand on our joy by playing with archetypes. To begin breathe deeply and relax your body. ‘You may want to do like we did and breathe in gold light.’
Now ask yourself…
What archetype would serve me best right now? ‘Maybe a traditional archetype or you may, like we did, ask for your unique archetype.’
Breathe deeply again and state to yourself that you are embodying your archetype. Feel the presence of your archetype within you.
What does my archetype look like? ‘Allow yourself to visualize an image.’
What does my archetype have to say? ‘Listen’
What does my archetype do?
How does my archetype want me to practice embodying it?
Have fun playing with your archetype, and as Caroline Myss says, “Dream big... Use the energy of your archetype to express the true reason you were born.”
