You Can't Beat a Foundation of Love

Ever wonder where to begin?

That’s where I’ve been this week.

I’m happy to share that my jumbled thoughts subsided while I was walking. I decided there was no need to go it alone, so I called the always-happy-to-be-of-service angels.

Here’s my little chat with our angelic friends. Okay, I know it’s time to share the 12 Faces of God, but really, I don’t have a clue where to begin. I mean, it’s so much! ‘If you haven’t read it, here’s a post to explain how the 12 Faces of God came about’

I immediately saw the book, Real Love by Greg Baer, M.D., which I created a course around. I then see a story in the book. Furthermore, I understand that this story shares an example of what the First Face of God is about - Unconditionalness.

Here’s the story:

Picture yourself relaxing in the back of a chauffeur-driven car. You’re on your way to a town two hours away. It’s a small town you’ve never visited. In fact, no one knows about this place but you and the people who live there. Although it’s a beautiful place situated in a lovely valley, you’re not going there to see the sights. You’re going because everyone there is genuinely happy. They’re happy because they all feel loved. In this place, there is no fear or anger. And you’re going because they’ve invited you.

As you pull up to the house where you’ll stay, dozens of people surround your car, touch you gently, help you into the house, ask about your trip, and look at you in a way you’ve never seen or felt before. You sense with absolute certainty that the only concern of everyone in that town is your happiness. Because they have everything that really matters in life - because they feel loved and happy themselves - they don’t need you to do anything for them, and you know that. So you know there is nothing you can do to disappoint them or hurt them.

As you communicate with these new friends, you can see that it doesn’t matter whether you’re smart or pretty or handsome. You don’t have to do anything to impress them or get them to like you. They truly don’t care if you say something stupid or if you make mistakes. It finally and powerfully occurs to you that it’s impossible to be embarrassed or ashamed around these people because they love you no matter what you do.

Let’s Go Deeper

With your powerful imagination, let’s play with the above story.

Let’s give ourselves the gift, if only for a moment, of unconditional love.

To begin, take a few deep breaths.

Now envision yourself in the limousine going to the unconditionally loving folks in that small, beautiful town.

Breathe in as you experience arriving and being greeted by happy people—loving people who don’t want anything from you other than your happiness.

Really let yourself go here. Allow yourself to take in their love. Bring all your senses to this visualization - hear what they say, experience warm, gentle touches, and feel their love radiating to you. Conjure up that moment in your mind and milk it for all it's worth.

A beautiful Example

Friend, I get why the angels led me to this story. It’s a beautiful example of unconditional love, which in the 12 Faces of God is called - Unconditionalness.

To know and experience love without condition or judgement regardless of our physical actions, yes, please.

I know it’s hard to imagine being unconditionally loved, yet I understand that when we feel we are… it’s everything.

I also understand that’s why the course starts with Unconditionalness, to ensure that we have a strong foundation. You can beat a foundation of love.

Dearest, there is so much to this beautiful, transformative course. It’s hard to put it into words. But I’ll continue to try.

As you may know, when the 12 Faces of God came to me, I heard, Everything is about finding your Inner Joy Compass. All is about that. You must find your Inner Joy Compass.
