12 Faces of God
For quite some time, we’ve been exploring the 12 Faces of God. (It’s been my pure delight!)
Simply put - the 12 Faces of God is designed to help folks address and heal common personal challenges and live more in their Highest Divine Selves by embodying the twelve divine attributes.
I love how each Face of God offers guidance in healing specific human concerns and serves as a pathway to deeper transformation.
Because I believe these Faces of God were given to me one at a time—each building upon the last—I will expand on these Divine attributes by focusing on the First Face of God: Unconditionalness.
This foundational attribute will be at the heart of my upcoming posts and the reoffering of the Supreme Love Course.
Oh friend, I’m joy-filled at the prospect of providing a space and opportunity for deeper exploration and practice of the First Face of God - Unconditionalness.
So, let’s begin, shall we?
Love Is Always a Choice
Drowsily, I open my eyes.
Half asleep, I hear - listen to the sound of love.
I pause. I hear my husband feeding the cats. A warmth spreads through me.
Later, after our morning routine, I drift in and out of meditation. Again, I hear: Follow the love.
In my mind’s eye, I see a shadowy figure. He stops. I stop.
It’s a choice.
A simple yet profound truth. To share love or withhold it, to open or to close—each moment offers us this choice.
Heck, I want to choose love. Truth be told, I want more than that. I want to be love.
But…
I’m Human
Sometimes, I want to be right. Sometimes, I hold onto old hurts.
Ever been there?
The momentary satisfaction of being “right” feels good—for a little while.
But eventually, I have to ask myself: What do I really want?
And the answer is always love.
As I think about, what I consider a past betrayal, I take in deep heart breaths.
Then I begin the Ho’oponopono prayer:
I love you. I’m so sorry—for forgetting who I really am. Please forgive me. Thank you.
I repeat it.
Then, I envision love and light flowing from my heart into the heart of the person I’m struggling with.
And slowly, my heart softens.
I Know Healing Takes Time
I may need to return to this practice again and again.
Thank goodness, love is patient. Thank goodness, we can count on real love to always show up for us once we open our hearts and allow it in.
Believe me, friend, when I say that I am so grateful it waits for us to choose it.
Why?
Because… I know the truth.
I know that when you choose Unconditional Love everything changes.
I know that wounds of your past heal and fulfilling relationships are created.
I know that nothing takes the place of love to create genuine happiness.
Who wouldn’t want more happiness?
Another cupful, please.

Ready to expand on your joy with some love?
Inner Joy Compass Prompt:
If you will please after reading below, close your eyes and take in heart breaths to fully savor the experience. You may want to do each vision at a different time.
Okey Dokey, here we go:
Envision in your mind’s eye yourself as an infant. See/experience your infant self being loved in whatever way feels good to you. Are you being held, rocked, or sung to, it’s your vision. Allow your infant self to fully experience taking in the love. Remember you’re safe, comfortable, content, and unconditionally loved in your envisioned moment.
Ready for some more love?
Now see yourself as a teenager with your caregiver. In what way would your teenage self want to receive unconditional love? Is it a hug, loving words, or both? Envision your desire to receive your caregiver’s unconditional love in whatever way comforts you.
Moving on
Next, you are now a young adult. Who would you like to give you unconditional love… a partner, friend, co-worker, childhood caregiver, or another relative? It’s your vision. Bring it to life and revel in the love.
The present
Okay, give your present self the gift of unconditional love from the person of your choice. What does that look like? An apology, a hug or words, a smile across a crowded room, you choose. Relish the love moment.
To add to Wayne Dyer’s quote - “There is no greater power ‘gift’ in Heaven or on Earth than pure, unconditional love.”
Thanks so much for being here with me.
I appreciate YOU.
With all my love,
Gloria
