Aloha from Gloria! She has invited me to step in and guest-post while she is out for a few weeks.
Gloria has been mentor, guide, teacher and friend to me for over a decade. It’s a pleasure and an honor to step in and share with you today. So let’s dive in!
November traditionally holds two dominant energies in the U.S. - the noticeable and palpable move toward the end of a calendar year and the Thanksgiving holiday which marks the beginning of the end-of-year holiday season.
These are the traditional ways we might relate to this time. However, as a collective we’ve really been opening to recognizing and allowing for far more diverse possibilities than have gone before.
For this month I want to offer you an alternate way to experience November. When we allow ourselves to see a new approach or perspective we open up new possibilities for ourselves.
For this year, consider November the month of completion
Often we look at December as the final month of the calendar year and we have rituals and habits related to that. Maybe you bless the year that has been completed. Or review what you wished for the year and make plans for the new one.
In numerology, this November is a 9 month (11th month in a 7 year), which is energy that supports closure, completion, and tying things up. It would be ideal to do your end-of-year activities this month. I’m pretty sure that December will hold a feeling tone of wanting to get things started.
The first week of November may have you feeling slow, sleepy or tired, but know that it is energy that is integrating for you. Take the time to slow down or straight-up stop. After that, the energy will pick up so that you can wrap up projects or situations to open space for the new that is ready to come in.
Bless the completions, endings and yourself
In the spirit of giving thanks this year, bless all the endings and completions that this year has brought. We often give thanks for what we have, what we love or what we’ve accomplished. The wins. This year make a list of the ‘ends’. The things you’ve stopped doing, the people who have left your life, the habits you have changed. Bless them because in every instance, whether it was something you wanted or something that just happened, they opened up new energies for you.
Most of all, bless yourself. We spend a lot of our time judging ourselves wishing we had done something more or feeling like we didn’t do enough. You are a beautiful divine soul doing the very best you can in this human life. You have done enough and been enough - no matter what - to bless yourself.
In honor of Gloria, here are some prompts
For the first week of November, give yourself one hour a day to do nothing. And I mean nothing. No cell phone. No TV. No book. Sit with a cup of tea and stare out the window or visit a park and just look around. And if you find that hard, take a nap. This will help you integrate your soul’s guidance and support.
Pick at least one thing you feel drawn or called to complete, wrap-up or finalize. Focus on that and move it forward.
For the final week of November, write down at least one thing about yourself you can bless. Take a post-it and make it short and easy and start it with ‘I bless myself’. But write it down so you anchor the energy. As an example, it could be as simple as: “I bless myself for brushing my teeth. I love my teeth.” Do this daily for 7 days.
So how does all this feel for you? Leave a comment if you have questions and I’ll respond. Or leave Gloria a message and I’ll make sure she sees it.
Big hugs to you!
Thank you, Judith. Beautiful, indeed!
