As I think about our Independence liberation holiday, gratitude fills my heart for our forefathers and their commitment to our freedom.
Since I tend to go from macrocosm to microcosm, questions of how independence affects us on a personal level flood my mind:
What does independence mean on a personal level?
What does it mean on a spiritual level?
Are we meant to be independent to grow?
What about interdependency?
As usual, I do what I do when questions flood my mind - I meditate.
Self-Evident
My reaction with my first deep breath is to chuckle.
I can’t miss my glaring self-evidence.
Of course, I choose to go inward for assistance to get the answers. Of course, I don’t presume that I can independently answer with my mind alone.
Why would I!? When the Heavens await my call!
My desire to go within, to meditate, is all the proof I need that interdependence is our real independence.
We’ve all heard the saying from the seventeenth, century author John Donne - no man is an island. We all rely on someone for something.
Friend, that is interdependence on a human level. And thank goodness that we have those human connections to share with, to celebrate with, to help us when needed, and to live our lives with.
Yet, there is so much more to interdependence.
Real Independence
After I quiet my chuckle, I hear:
Independence is a farce. One cannot live independently!
Life is meant to be lived interdependently.
Remember - As Above so Below. As in Heaven so on Earth.
Heavenly or Earthly - it matters not where one resides. All are meant to co-exist.
Real independence, which is the ability to hold one’s own, is best marked by one’s ability to accept his nature for interdependence.
Celestial Interdependence
To accept interdependence with humans but not with Celestial is to miss one’s golden lot in life.
The Celestial know of all that is and accepts all that is.
When one looks to the Heavens the Heavens look to the One. We never turn a blind eye. Give us your attention and we will, without hesitation, give back to you. You are always welcome.
We are present for the big and the small concerns and desires. Due to our enlightened state, you will be in the best of hands.
Expansion is yours when you turn toward us.
We encourage you to demonstrate your real independent nature by choosing to be interdependent with those on Earth and those in the Heavens.
Yep, My Questions were Answered Interdependently

Great post Gloria, reminds me that every thing and everyone moves in the great circle, with different places on the circle are marked with placeholders! Just as you said As Above, So Below mark the top and bottom of the circle and so on.
You can find many place holders to add to that circle.
Just my very own random thoughts,
I love your post, it really makes me think
