Ever wonder why folks do what they do?
Ever find yourself judging them for what they do?
I have discovered that I tend to judge folks when I feel discomfort about what they’re doing.
Maybe it’s a family member that, by my standards, is making a choice that will ultimately hurt them. Or a friend that continues to repeat the same mistake over and over and believes she is a victim. Or it could be a politician that I believe is blowing hot air.
Regardless of who it is, if I feel discomfort over someone’s choice, I want my discomfort to go away. Thus, I project my discomfort back to them. If only they would stop it!
As if they are responsible for how I feel.
Obviously we’ve all witnessed folks making choices that we don’t agree with.
But…when all is said and done, we are responsible for how we feel. So, if we want to feel better then we have to think better. (See correctly - explained below)
Breathe Deeply - The First Step to Switch Gears
I’m in meditation and thoughts of a loved one’s choice flash like lightning and pierce through my harmonious meditative mind. Instantly, I plunge into the rabbit hole of worry.
Experience has taught me that when I feel bad, for whatever reason, in order to feel good I have to switch gears, and the best way to do that is to begin with my breath.
I breathe deeply. I then ask for help from the angelic kingdom. Of course, the Heavenly Ones answer my request.
