Birthdays Carry Weight
Are you like me, do you believe that birthdays carry a significance far beyond cake and candles?
Maybe you’re like me and soulfully feel that birthdays are more than just a date, more than a marking of time, more than another revolution around the sun.
Friend, I heartfully embrace the idea that birthdays are our personal new years.
They give us a moment to pause and remember that we are here on purpose. Not by accident, not by random chance — but by divine design. Each birthday is like a soul marker, a gentle tap on the shoulder from the universe saying, “You’re still becoming. Keep going.”
A time when we have the opportunity to realign with our divine intention — to take inventory, to forgive, to bless what has passed, and to listen again for what wants to be born through us now.
Because birthdays are a time of realignment they can sometimes bring joy, other times, they bring reflection, grief, or longing.
Regardless of what they bring, let’s remind ourselves that - our soul is reminding us of what matters, or nudging us to reconnect with the life we were meant to live.
Think On This
Your birthday is the moment the universe whispered “yes” to your arrival. It’s the sacred anniversary of when your soul chose to incarnate, to bring its particular light, its flavor of love, into form.
Try leaning into this, there was something only you could bring forth — a song, a touch, a truth, a healing.
So whether you celebrate quietly or with a joyful roar, consider this: your birthday isn’t just about being older. It’s about being here.
Still here.
Still becoming.
Still learning how to love.
Still saying yes.
A Powerful Day for Receiving and Giving
Birthdays are also a powerful day for receiving — not just gifts, but insight, support, and love from the divine, from your angels, and the people who hold you in their hearts.
And… they are a powerful day for giving -
I regard that giving gifts on our birthday carries a quiet spiritual reversal.
In a culture that often teaches us to receive on our birthday, choosing to give instead becomes a powerful, intentional act — one that aligns with deeper truths about abundance, love, and our reason for being here.
I remember a few birthdays back, I asked in meditation what would serve my Highest Self on this auspicious day.
I heard to write and share blessings with loved ones. So I did. I took the time to write out individual family members a blessing. I then called each one and shared the blessing.
Those blessings came directly from my heart. And, I’m happy to share that they felt like they were amplified. Like they carried an added charge because they were wrapped in birthday energy.
I felt like I was saying, “As I honor the day I came into this world, I want to honor you, too. I want to thank life by giving back.”
In those acts of giving, something beautiful happened: I received.
I received connection, joy, warmth, and the knowing that — my life is a gift, not just to be celebrated, but to be given, again and again.
In The Spirit of Giving 🌸
And since it’s my birthday next week, I’m offering YOU a gift.
I give you this gift on my birthday week as an act of gratitude and love — a celebration not just of my life, but of the connection we share.
