As I pondered what to write this week, a melange of past post titles flipped through my mind.
Hmm… now what?
As I sat down to write, I experienced the same thing. More titles…
Okay, I get it. A revisiting of sorts is needed this week.
So, friend, I offer you a potpourri of tidbits from Godly Goodies. ‘Links are provided if you want more.’
Enjoy!
Connecting with Guardian Angels:
It's simple to call your GA forth: "Beloved Guardian Angel be here now."
If you want your GA to clear your day, activity, create safety, etc. add, "And clear my way."
“Believe in Guardian Angels. They believe in you and are forever by your side.” Anonymous
Let Out Your Why
There are seven levels of WHY. The idea is to ask yourself seven times why what you want is important.
What do I want?
Why is this important to me?
Why is this important to ME?
Why else is this important to me?
Why is this important to me? ‘Be specific’
Why is this so important to me?
Why is this urgently important to me?
Why must this be important to me?
“There are two great days in a person’s life - the day we are born and the day we discover why.” William Barclay
Playing With Archetypes
We’re all many-faceted. We each have within us infinite possibilities of expression.
How would you feel bringing forth your magician? Or your hero? What about your warrior?
Why not give an archetype a try?
Maybe you want courage. Bring forth your hero.
Or maybe you need strength. What would your warrior self do?
Need to understand someone? Bring forth your nurturer.
Need to spark your creativity? Call up your magician.
Breathe deeply and state to yourself that you are embodying your archetype. Feel the presence of your archetype within you.
What does my archetype look like? ‘Allow yourself to visualize an image.’
What does my archetype have to say? ‘Listen’
What does my archetype do?
How does my archetype want me to practice embodying it?
Have fun playing with your archetype, and as Caroline Myss says, “Dream big... Use the energy of your archetype to express the true reason you were born.”
It’s All About Feeling Good
What are we habitually doing, thinking, and being?
“We create our habits then our habits become our permanence.” Helene Hadsell
Because I understand Helene’s meaning of permanence as - who we become - I understand that our habits become us.
Therefore, if we become our habits the question is:
What are We Habitually Doing, Thinking, and Being?
As F.M. Alexander wrote, “People do not decide their futures. They decide their habits, and their habits decide their futures.”
Quiet Contemplation
We all need a little quiet contemplation from time to time.
It’s good for the soul.
So… Ready to turn inward?
Begin by taking in a soft, subtle breath.
Take a minute and think about your strengths or attributes. You know the stuff you’re proud of. Please, give yourself the gift of feeling good about yourself.
Envision for a moment that you are in a bubble. Give this bubble a color.
Now breathe in and fill your bubble with all those good feelings you have for yourself.
And quietly ask…
What does Love want to share with me at this moment?
What else does Love want to share?
What is the most graceful way to take in (or act upon) this message from love?
“We need quiet time to examine our lives openly and honestly – spending quiet time alone gives your mind an opportunity to renew itself and create order.”
The Sharing of GEMS - Genuine Encounter Moment
Gems - A Way of Grace
Here’s how it works. (I’ve added some steps to create a deeper bond.)
Don’t let the simplicity of it fool you, it’s powerful!
Stop what you’re doing when someone wants your attention or when you approach someone.
Make eye contact and listen. ‘What’s being said below the words?’
As you’re listening; breathe in your heart to hear what is truly being said.
Show up fully and completely with your whole self.
Be childlike and evoke your curiosity. What is this person really trying to tell me?
Ask open-ended questions (Questions that don’t require a yes or no).
If you’re talking with a child, get down on their level. Don’t hover above them. Eye-to-eye is the way.
No need to feel bothered. Take a GEM moment and be with them. You’ll immediately feel better.
By the way, so will they.
How To Use Compassionate Action
Anytime you choose to disrupt a negative feeling/thought/situation through an act of love, you are using compassionate action.
Here’s how:
CHOOSE: It can be as simple as affirming - “I AM willing to use compassionate action now.”
AWARENESS: Anytime you feel or think anything less than good, you’re in a judgment of some kind. In the moment, you become aware of your judgment - it’s time to use compassionate action.
CONNECT: Before moving forward, you must connect to your Higher Power (Your Divine Self). Breathe deeply. Envision your Higher Self above you and with your intention breathe pure loving compassion from your Divine Self into your heart. Do this until you feel your connection.
ASK: “What is the most compassionate action I can take?” Or, “What would compassion do?”
LISTEN and ABIDE: Pay attention to what you hear and abide by it.
May you move forward with compassionate action in all you do.
